Richard Kaish

Picture
Richard Kaish creates fluid, moving figures in bronze.
His 30 years of experience in welding have given him an intimate knowledge of the bronze medium.

He describes his experience with bronze as "a rich vocabulary of techniques" which allows him to create these whimsical yet captivating figures.

After designing his figures on paper Mr. Kaish welds directly in metal.
His one-of-a-kind pieces are created using no molds and display his love of the human form and expert knowledge of his medium.

Mr. Kaish's figures are not conventional images but instead, playful persons who entice the viewer. His female figures twist and move to a rhythm we long to hear while his fairies are ready to take flight and his dragons breathe fire.
When completed, Mr. Kaish's bronzes may be left in their "raw" state, polished to a high gloss, or given a verdigris patina.
